An organ-selling hustle goes sideways when Angela Bettis' dim-witted cousin Chloe Farnsworth misplaces a kidney and brings the wrath of black market crooks to a bloody, hectic night shift in "12 Hour Shift". Written and directed by Brea Grant with just enough wit to make up for the lack of extremity on show, this is and enjoyable little film whose highlight is Bettis' performance as a worn-out angel of death trying to keep a lid on her spiralling situation. Funny as the film is, it probably wouldn't be nearly as enjoyable without her, although co-star Chloe Farnsworth also deserves credit for her portrayal of the increasingly desperate Regina, whose fumbling attempts to emulate her more proficiently murderous cousin provide some of the movie's funniest moments. Mick Foley and David Arquette also show up for memorable cameos. "12 Hour Shift" is nothing special, but it's worth a watch.
