This is the kind of basic horror scenario that requires one to feel a modicum of sympathy for the protagonists, which just isn't gonna happen when said protagonists are backstabbing douchetubers with minimal charm. At that point, the film's only hope for success is that the director is above the material and thus able to make the proceedings either artful or entertaining, and... well.. let's just say that I was 90% of the way through my viewing of this movie before I realised I may have watched it before. That's how memorable it is. "Don't Hang Up" does have some moments of suspense — and the small cast do well with what little they're given — but it's mostly a bang average tread through familiar territory.
