8213: Gacy House (2010)



An instantly forgettable found footage movie that attempts to use real-life serial killer John Wayne Gacy's name as a selling point but never does anything to justify it, "8213: Gacy House" sees a band of paranormal investigators head to the site of Gacy's former home with the goal of communicating with the spirit of the late murderer. Needless to say, things do not go according to plan, for them or any viewer looking for an even mildly entertaining found footage flick. "Blair Witch" this ain't. Heck, it's not even "Paranormal Activity", a film whose influence on this pale imitation is sadly obvious. The cast is uniformly terrible, the story an incoherent mess, and the whole movie just one big painful bore. It does have one gratuitous zoom in on a fake boobie, though, so I guess it's not all bad.
