The thing about me is that I'll watch any old crap if it has a brief runtime, and at a shade over 45 minutes "The Clown Chainsaw Massacre" was irresistible to me. It's complete garbage, of course; a cheap-as-chips "The Texas Chain Saw Massacre" rip-off that finds the time to borrow from about a dozen other horror classics I probably should have put on instead. There's no real plot to speak of and only a little action as a killer looking like a cross between Leatherface and the creepy clown of "Hell House LLC" takes revenge upon a small group of bad actors for that one time he got the Freddy Krueger treatment from a mob of angry parents. If the kills were actually done well this might actually be sorta worth it, but alas, they just didn't have the budget or talent for any of that. Not that this terrible film isn't completely charmless, it's just that it feels padded despite how short it is (and eight of those forty-five mins are taken up by the credits, mind you) and there's never any real pay-off to what you're watching. "The Clown Chainsaw Massacre" isn't painfully shit, but it is shit.
The more I think about it, the more futile it seems to maintain a blogger page for movie reviews in this day and age when Letterboxd is ri...
