Even Lambs Have Teeth (2015)

One of the more perfunctory rape-revenge thrillers you're ever likely to see, "Even Lambs Have Teeth" lacks the grittiness of "I Spit on Your Grave" or the visceral impact of "The Poughkeepsie Tapes", although it does have some sense of fun. And if you need your rape-revenge movies to have a bit of levity and plenty of "good for her" moments, you could probably do worse. Sure, the acting isn't particularly good and the filmmakers show all their plot cards early, but at just shy of 80 minutes this story of two friends turning the tables on their sex-trafficking kidnappers in Bumfuck, USA never quite wears out its welcome, even if its shying away from the carnage wrought by besties Kirsten Zien and Tiera Skovbye doesn't appeal to my personal gore-loving tastes. It was nice to see Monica Delain from "Trick 'r Treat" show up here, even if she's just there to be a bitchy girlfriend to the FBI uncle who goes looking for the missing girls only to kinda discover they don't really need him. A tolerable bad movie.
