As horror spectacle, "Final Destination" has stood the test of time, even if the downside is that the cast are forced to utter some howling dialogue (Sawa in particular). This isn't quite turn-your-brain-off stuff because of how engaging it's set-pieces and twists are (you have to think to dissect and appreciate them) but it is a movie whose flaws are so easy to forgive because it's that damn entertaining. Ali Larter and Devon Sawa are great leads and it's a shame they couldn't be reunited in the sequel.
